OUR HISTORY

The Group was founded by Mr.Nicos Chr. Vassiliou in 1994, with what was then Lefkothea café &  restaurant – currently Kamara – and has always run as afamily business, with the sole shareholders being Nicos and his sons, Christos and Alexandros.

In 2009 the Group re-gained management of its premises in Engomi, and with the help of the sons who returned home from their studies in the UK and the USA respectively, the Vassiliou family began operating the venue under the name Occhio Lounge Bar.

WHO WE ARE

Today, and after major expansion and re-branding of the Group in 2015, Occhio Hospitality Group is now one of the major players in Cyprus, in banqueting/outside catering, corporate events organizing and hosting, as well as clubbing. In addition, it successfully owns and oversees the operations of its subsidiary operations – TOGO by Occhio and SITIO café & restaurant.

The Group operates with an in-house HR & Accounting department, Sales & Events Management, a Marketing Team, an Operations Department including logistics and Warehousing Management, assuring the smooth running of operations and maintaining control at all times.

It is most notable that the Group’s catering services, including all its venues, hold signed contracts and down-payments for events in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively. Needless to say, that such contracts provide OHG healthy cash flow, purchasing leverage and overall security in this fast-paced and ever-changing market.

Highlights in Occhio Hospitality Group’s history include but are not limited to:

  • President’s preferred caterer with almost 70% of all events at the Presidential Palace serviced by the company.

  • Working with prestigious international and local companies for their corporate events.

  • STATE Night Club awarded best Night Club for 3 consecutive years at the Stoli Awards – the biggest, most prestigious awards of the hospitality industry
